Getting to know Dan:
Q: When friends and family ask what you what is Tamale, what do you tell them?
A: Tamale is a company that develops software for investors. It's a great place to work, and tends to leverage a lot of what I have done in the past.
Q: What makes you excited to come to work?
A: It's always a new challenge here. One of the coolest things I've done recently was working with the Python Scripting Engine.
Q: What makes you proud to work for Tamale?
A: I enjoy the recognition by the company that learning is a life-long process. Just because you were hired with one expertise, that's not the end of what you do, or who you are.
Q: What's your favorite thing about Tamale's clients?
A: They need us to solve a very big problem — how to manage all their research. They provide great feedback, but don't necessarily tell us how to do it, and in the end they appreciate our solutions.
Q: What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
A: I enjoy weekends in Harwich on Cape Code, or a meal at Sally Ling's in Newton (be sure to order stuff not on the menu). I am a genealogy hobbyist, and enjoy reading — my favorite book is Cryptonomicon by Neil Stephenson. I also enjoy following my favorite sports teams at the college or pro level — BC, Stanford, Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, etc.
