DANNY, President / TSI
BA in Computer Science &
in Economics
Harvard College

“Information has to be managed or this foundation of research becomes overwhelming in the digital era. It has to be organized and analyzed to create high-quality ideas.” |
Danny is a Computer Scientist who spent the early part of his career in finance trading desk at Merrill Lynch, then Director of Research for a hedge fund. He tried myriad financial software tools but never found a way to effectively manage internal proprietary ideas and information. Result: development of Tamale RMS. |

Q: |
What is your role at Tamale? |
A: |
I'm responsible for the direction the RMS takes from version to version, including development of features and functions. I take part in client discussions, helping customers leverage the RMS within their workflow. I enjoy brainstorming new ideas, problem-solving implementations, and talking / understanding stocks. |

Q: |
What’s the coolest thing you’ve done at Tamale? |
A: |
As one of the founders, it has been great to take part in creating a product, a company, and an industry starting from space in a garage, to recently opening an office in London. I'm excited by what we've accomplished, and by what we'll do in the year ahead. Our customers are sharp, and I get great product ideas every time I sit down with any one of them.

Q: |
What do you tell friends and family who ask what you do? |
A: |
I speak enthusiastically about information management to anyone who asks! They know I work in software, will talk anything finance, have a passion for what I do, and can most likely find me in the office.

Q: |
What do you love to do outside of work? |
A: |
A native Floridian, I'm an avid surfer, even if everyone laughs at my efforts and my inability to adapt to the frigid NE waters. I was internationally competitive in crew during high school and college, though nowadays I'm a "has-been" who gets in a shell on the Charles occasionally. I make a hobby of taste-testing different styles of American barbecue, and I enjoy traveling, whether to Istanbul or to visit family and friends closer by.
