Tamale Software, Inc. is a rapidly growing company in search of talented individuals to join our team. Our product, Tamale Research Management Solution™ (RMS), is targeted at research analysts and portfolio managers, and is a unique software solution that enables investment professionals to focus on research and investing. Tamale RMS is the only product of its kind, and it has been enthusiastically accepted within the financial services industry since our product launch in early 2004.

This is a hands-on position that provides an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of our automated test effort, working closely with our QA and Development teams to implement, expand on, and maintain our automated test suite and the framework that drives it. The successful candidates will be responsible for implementation of tests and maintenance of the framework and test suite. Potential applicants are good coders/scripters, and probably comes from a test and test-automation background.

Responsibilities include:

Evaluating existing tests and working with QA team to determine which tests to automate, and when.

Creating and maintaining automated tests.

Defining and generating test reports.

Working with QA team to ensure overall quality of Tamale RMS.

Support manual testing effort as team transitions to automated testing.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

BS or equivalent in the area of computer science or information systems.

1+ years of previous testing experience.

Strong knowledge of the complete QA cycle and experience with different types of testing, including experience creating an automation framework from scratch.

Working knowledge of SQL.

Experience with Java Application Servers (e.g., JBoss) and HTTP servers (e.g., Apache).

Hands-on experience with Linux.

Strong communication skills.
Preferred:

Experience with functional automation and performance testing enterprise applications.

Knowledge and experience with open source and commercial test automation tools (e.g. Mercury Suite, Rational Functional Tester, JMeter, OpenSTA, HTTPUnit, etc.).

Oracle installation and maintenance experience.

Product life cycle experience ranging from initial product development, first customer ship, strategic account support, technical support escalation, and subsequent release cycles.
